Tater and Emily

These are my favorites from Indie Craft Sampler's October Box that I received. The listing of them is in no particular order, as I love all of these pieces about the same.
1. Allison Ranieri Illustration - Because how cute are cactuses?? Also, I love that the cards are made of 100% recycled 30% post-consumer fiber and the envelopes are 100% recycled 100% post consumer fiber.
2. Amy Blue Illustration - What an amazing drawing of this wedding singer guy!
3. Brandi Fitzgerald - High quality prints. In addition to this, there was a Rolleiflex one, and who doesn't love Rolleiflexes?
4. Stephanie Shade/Flower Child Cozies - Very practical. I often get coffee with a sleeve and I'd like to have a reusable sleeve instead of a disposable one.
5. Renaissance Bath - Ohmygoodness. This wonderful soap made my whole box smell great. I can't wait to use it. I'm not sure if it's cruelty-free, as the website does not specify. I will look into it though.
And last, but definitely not least...
6. Mars Original - I'm a big fan of "om" and meditation/mindfulness pieces, so I loved this "om" pin. I also love natural pieces, so it was fun to see the shell attached to a keychain.

Overall, I loved the sampler that I received and I intend to purchase a future box or two to continue finding new artists and creators.

Yes! There it is! I should be receiving my own box shortly and then I'll share more about the other amazing contributors. 

These 50 State corkboards are the rustic (and mini) versions of corkboards that I typically make in the shop. They have rough edges and pen marks and they're just as fun to use as the full-size versions. You can hang them on the wall, cupboard or bulletin board with the adhesive of your choice. I typically use Scotch tape to affix it. For full size, it looks nice framed or attached to a card or on top of a gift. Let me know how you decide to use your mini cork board! 

Last week, I finished creating mini versions of the state corkboard in my shop. Above is a sample of the MA board. Why did I make them? Well, I contributed them to Indie Craft Sampler, an awesome subscription box of craft samples. I cannot wait to review one when I receive mine next month. I hand drew and cut each of the 50 states which I then wrapped.

The samples are more rustic than my usual chalkboards, which I think go well with the business cards and wrapping. They're a little chunkier and have lines running through them. Perfect to tape to your wall or add to a beautifully wrapped gift.

I'm not really sure what I want to write here, but I felt compelled to write nevertheless. I just came back from a walk with Tater and boy was it beautiful. The humidity has died down for the time being and I can actually enjoy the sunny and warm weather.

I had written the above paragraph the other week. Boy, I've wanted to write more here and then once I open up my post editor the words just don't flow out.

I passed my license test for my day job last Friday. That's taken a load off my mind and I have felt more free to create and unpack in our new place. I have been enjoying taking my time and finding a place for everything. I've also decided to do more with my shop again. Neeka from Indie Craft Sampler had written and asked if I would consider contributing item(s) from my shop and I decided that I would. I'm looking forwarding to sharing with you all what I will be contributing. They are mini versions of something from my shop (and so cute!). I will be a contributor for October.
